Crop Projects

Back in March, the crop that I attend held a 2 1/2 day weekend crop. For that event, I did more than just my normal 2 page 12x12 layout. I did 6 different classes! (I don't have a picture of the card class I did. Ops!) They were a ton of fun and it was nice to create something other than a layout for some of them.

"Oh Happy Day" - 1page 12x12 layout. I was trying a clean and simple version of a white space layout. I love the way it turned out. I can't help but put banners on everything right now!

I of course still had to do a 2 page 12x12 layout. This class sold out so fast I went to the store to buy more supplies to do more kits! The yellow/black/gray is so hot right now! My favorite part is the black tulle on page 2. You can buy it in a roll in the flowers section of your craft store. I just tied a knot in the middle and wrapped the ends around to the back.

5 different flowers! The rose in the bottom left corner is something my mom makes with her eyes closed! Everytime a new group of ladies see it, they want to learn it. So that turned into a 5 flower class. The accordian flower and the fabric flower I learned at Quick Quotes Private Reserve. I got the tissue flower from Tim Holtz's blog and the wrap flower is just ribbon wrapped around a round slide mount. What fun!

I wanted to do something fun for the kids. I created this Party Kit with a cute circus theme for boy or girl. There is a gift bag, decorated water bottle, cupcake topper (with the star and clown) and a place setting with either a tight rope walker for girls, or a strong man for boys. Inside the name tag is room for hershey kisses!!

When I saw a can like this on the Bo Bunny blog, I knew I had to re-create it. It was the most challenging of all my projects. I found the paper I loved by Imaginesce and went to work. I ended up rolling the paper around a pencil and using red line tape to glue it together. Then I grouped the rolled papers into 4 or 5 rolls, taped them together and placed them in the pail until I got all the way around. I felt like I needed about 5 hands for this one! But I adore the way it turned out. I added a border stip at the top and bottom and fussy cut out some images from one of the pattern papers for the front. We added some easter grass inside to make the perfect little easter basket!

Hope you enjoyed the class pictures. I will be back later this week with my last update before I start with new creations! I have my January, February and March class pages to share. I have to tell you, March is my favorite page from classes that I have done!

See you later!
