Freshman Soccer Layout

Good Morning!

Just wanted to share a quick and easy page I did last week!

My coworker that I am making a scrapbook for needs 4 soccer pages. I didnt want to make all of them super traditional pages, but I did want to stick with the school colors, purple and gold. So this isn't quiet gold, but yellow counts right? lol

The Freshman is cut from the All Sports Cartridge and the Soccer is from my stash, which long ago came from Quick Quotes. I used some yellow ribbon from my stash and lilac twine to help pull in the colors.

These purple flowers also from my stash worked perfectly. This one was cut in half then folded in half to make the 1/4 flower.

These flowers were just folded in half and glued down.

Hope you enjoyed my quick and easy page!

Check back tomorrow for the winner of my blog candy from the weekend's blog hop and check in Thrusday for this weeks Just A Scrappin Challenge! It's not my week for design team but I love this challenge so I think I am going to participate too :)

Have a great day!

So Late Mother's Day Card

Happy 4th of July Everyone!

I would normally post something patriotic today, but I haven't made anything recently. Guess that means tonight I must take lots of pictures to scrapbook later and be able to show you next holiday!

Don't forget to enter the WEDDING challenge over at Just A Scrappin by the end of the night tonight!

On to the card for today!

Well the good news is that I did give this card to my mom on Mother's Day. I was just going through my camera and realized I never shared!

My boyfriend didn't think I could make a nice card in under 10 minutes. Challenge accepted!

I needed two, one for my mom and one for his. I handed him a magazine and told him to pick one he liked and I would work from that.

I used Echo Park's Victoria Gardens 6x6 paper, buttons, ribbon, and flowers from my stash, twine in stone, want2scrap swirl pearls and quick quotes lemonade ink.

I think it turned out great. And since I was hand delivering and not mailing, I could use those big flowers and not worry about it getting torn up while going through the mail sorter :)

Challenge won!

I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday! I'll be back tomorrow with a manly card!

Disney Circle Challenge

Who doesn't love Disney?!

Still working on the book for my co-worker and she needed a disney page. I was browsing some sketches over at Sketch Savvy and found this perfect sketch that just screamed Disney at me. I wasn't sure exactly what papers or anything I was going to use, so I just added it to my notes to work on later. Then what happened? Over at Crazy 4 Challenges, they announced a circle challenge! Well what is more circles than Mickey? It gave me the motivation to get to the store to get some wonderful Disney paper (from Queen and Company) and work on this layout!

I adore it! I told my co-worker today that I love the pages I have been doing for her so much I wish I was keeping them for myself! LOL For this one, I will say I cut 2 of everything I did so I can re-create it for myself :)

I used my Creative Memories circle cutter and 2 different blades to make the large circles for the big Mickey in the background on page 1.

Here are some detail shots:
Not sure where I found the idea for the button Mickey heads, but it was a wonderful blog somewhere that had a great idea! I can't take credit. I inked all my papers with Quick Quotes Powder Puff Ink in Midnight Confession.

The characters are cut from Mickey and Friends at 2 1/2 inches. So small! But the perfect size for the page.
I love my Twinery Twine! I used Maraschino and Charcoal together and made a bow for the main title to the page.
I don't remember what paper company all the little titles came from, but it was a full 12x12 sheet that I cut apart and used all over the page.

More Mickey button faces!

I hope you like the page as much as I do:)

Remember to become a follower and leave me comments by tomorrow for extra bonus entries into my giveaway on facebook!

And check out yesterday's post for my First Design Team Announcement and blog candy giveaway!!

I will be back Friday with another layout and the winner of the blog candy :)

3rd Birthday Card for 2012

Hi all!

I shared with all of you my new year's resolution: To send a birthday card to everyone in my family

I shared my first card here, for my Aunt Dawn. And today I am showing you the card I did for my cousin Manny.

I am going to be the Guest Designer at For Fun Challenges on Wednesday!!!! Come back on then to see the card for my cousin's husband Tim.

I used My Mind's Eye: Fly a Kite 6x6 paper pack.
I thought it would look great for a teenage boy.

I used my new stamp from Unity. I love this balloon.
I paper pieced it together. Stamp on white and cut out the image leaving a little around the edge. Stamp the image on orange and cut out just the top of the balloon. Glue on top of the white piece. Stamp the image on striped patter, circle pattern and yellow paper. cut out the 5 middle pieces of the balloon and glue them on top of the orange. I LOVE the way it turned out!

Manny's favorite color is yellow so I knew I had to get it in there somewhere. Since there was no yellow in the pattern papers, it didn't look right when I tried to make the card yellow.
So I cut a star (Plaintin Schoolbook) that I added yellow flock to and a cute yellow button. I wrapped some brown baker's twice around this square to give it a little more interest. I inked the edge's of all the pattern papers in Quick Quotes "Green with Envy".

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
Cooking With Cricut: Something New and a Cricut Cut
Little Red Wagon: Felt or Flocking
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes
Crazy 4 Challenges: Something New

Hope you like the card and remember to come back Wednesday to check out my Guest Designer card for For Fun Challenges!
