V with MCCR

Good Morning!!! Today with My Cricut Craft Room, the letter of the day is

"V"

I made my Violet Valentine using Sophisticated

The tag is cut at 4in, the heart at 2.5in and the Love at 2in

I embossed the tag and inked the raised parts with Quick Quotes Powder Puff Ink in Purple Passion.
I added some Violet and Silver Chrome pearl pens, a doily, ribbon, twine (in Lilac) and a button from my stash.

I just love the way this turned out :)

Hope you are inspired to do some crafting today!!

Hello! Hello!

What better way to start a post than with a winner!

For Just A Scrappin's first blog hop I put together a cute prize package and it goes too.....

BRIDGET!!!

Thanks for everyone who hopped along! I can't wait to do another :)
Bridget, contact me at memorytreausresbyliz (at) hotmail (dot) com with your mailing address so I can send you your prize!!
*you have a week, until 7/26/12 to claim your prize*

So on to my card for today!

I went searching through the challenge blogs I follow and 3 of them are hosting challenges that just all came together in my head.
Anything Goes: Lavender & Lace
Craft Your Days Away: Doily & Lace

I had done a card similar to this one here and I  LOVED it. So I wanted to do it again but make it a little different.

I went searching for a stamp set to put a sentiment in the middle of the doily and this set from Stampin Up just jumped right out at me! What a perfect card to send to my cousin who just had a baby :)

Hope you like it and hope my cousin does too!

Celebrate with Craft!

While catching up on my new years resolution, I am trying to get some of the cards entered in challenges. Over at Little Red Wagon this week, they challenged us to use craft cardstock. Lovely! I had seen a craft and white card done with a doily in a magazine somewhere and knew that is what I wanted to base my card off of.

I got the doily from the bakery section of Michael's. The lace ribbon is from my stash. The Celebrate and Fleur de Lis were both cut from Teresa Collins Sophisticated cricut cartridge. I added some detail on the Fleur de Lis and under the Celebrate with my Viva pearl pen in cream.

The piece of doily I trimmed from the bottom of the front, I added to the edge of the inside to really finish up the card.

I hope you like my clean and simple version of a craft card!

Come back Thursday for my first design team post!!
