V with MCCR

Good Morning!!! Today with My Cricut Craft Room, the letter of the day is

"V"

I made my Violet Valentine using Sophisticated

The tag is cut at 4in, the heart at 2.5in and the Love at 2in

I embossed the tag and inked the raised parts with Quick Quotes Powder Puff Ink in Purple Passion.
I added some Violet and Silver Chrome pearl pens, a doily, ribbon, twine (in Lilac) and a button from my stash.

I just love the way this turned out :)

Hope you are inspired to do some crafting today!!

The Teresa Collins Chic & Scary cartrige as well as the Pumpkin Carvings cartridge!! Awesome!!

On to my project!

I LOVE Halloween! (It just happens to be my birthday) so I really wanted to make something over the top for this hop. I have been wanting to make something to hang in my little window at work and saw this as the perfect opportunity to get it done! I made the wreath out of tissue paper rosettes and glued them down on a circle.

The spider web is from Pretty Pennants. Spooky is from Happy Hauntings
I cut the web and used ranger Enamel accents in black to make it glossy looking. I did the same thing for Spooky but I used ranger Glossy accents the clear version.

The swirls are also from Happy Hauntings. They are a branch that an owl sits on.

The spider is from October 31st. I cut it out of glitter paper and hung it from Charcoal twine.

The flowers, charm, brad and ribbon were all from my stash.

Hope you enjoyed my project! If you liked it I would love for you to be a follower :)

Your next stop on the hop is Robin Carroll!!! Enjoy!!

Here is the full line up incase you get lost along the way!

I had done a card similar to this one here and I  LOVED it. So I wanted to do it again but make it a little different.

I went searching for a stamp set to put a sentiment in the middle of the doily and this set from Stampin Up just jumped right out at me! What a perfect card to send to my cousin who just had a baby :)

Hope you like it and hope my cousin does too!

Freshman Soccer Layout

Good Morning!

Just wanted to share a quick and easy page I did last week!

My coworker that I am making a scrapbook for needs 4 soccer pages. I didnt want to make all of them super traditional pages, but I did want to stick with the school colors, purple and gold. So this isn't quiet gold, but yellow counts right? lol

The Freshman is cut from the All Sports Cartridge and the Soccer is from my stash, which long ago came from Quick Quotes. I used some yellow ribbon from my stash and lilac twine to help pull in the colors.

These purple flowers also from my stash worked perfectly. This one was cut in half then folded in half to make the 1/4 flower.

These flowers were just folded in half and glued down.

Hope you enjoyed my quick and easy page!

Check back tomorrow for the winner of my blog candy from the weekend's blog hop and check in Thrusday for this weeks Just A Scrappin Challenge! It's not my week for design team but I love this challenge so I think I am going to participate too :)

Have a great day!

Just A' Scrappin' - First Design Team Challenge!

MY FIRST DESIGN TEAM PROJECT!!

Can you tell I am a bit excited? hehe

Over at Just A Scrappin' they are having a new challenge this week:

WEDDING

The challenge runs for a week so I hope you will join us this week :)

I have a wedding to attend later this year that the color is purple. I had a scrap of this purple rose paper from a previous layout that immediately came to mind. Pretty sure it is really old DCWV paper.

I wanted to something a little non-traditional wedding (which fits the couple) so I did a card made from acrylic instead of cardstock. I found this great vellum quote from Quick Quotes that I layered behind another piece of the pattern paper and made a frame to go around it. Added some flowers, pearl pen dots, twine and glue butterflies covered with purple glitter.

I love the way the butterflies show through to the inside of the card. When doing an acrylic card, you have to cover everything you did from the back to the front. So I cut more purple squares for the inside. I decorated one side with another piece of pattern paper and the other square to write a message to the couple.

Here is the back of the card. You can still see the butterflies which I love. I added the square to the back to hide the glue holding the inside square on.

I hope you like my card and that you will join us for this great challenge. Remember, every entry for the month gets entered to win some blog candy! Who doesn't love blog candy!?

Soccer!!!

Hello again!
Happy First Day of Summer!!

Today I am sharing yet another 2page layout done for my co-worker! I still have lots to go :)
Her daughter is a soccer player and is going to college on a soccer scholarship!
I am doing a soccer page for each year of high school so she can list her achievements and awards each year.
I started with her Senior year so she would have it for her graduation party last weekend. As you know from my graduation page, her school colors are purple and gold/yellow.

I needed a page with lots of pictures. Action shots, team shot, pictures of awards and friends, individual shots and anything else she has. So I chose paper that wasn't too busy.

Here is a close up of some of the details. The white squares were inked with Quick Quotes Powder Puff ink in Purple Passion. The dots are a Viva Pearl Pen in Violet.

The Stamped images you see are from Stampin Up! Sporting set. I love that I can use them for any sport. The soccer balls and the Senior are cut from the Sports Mania Cricut Cartridge.

Hope you enjoy the page!
