Vacation Time with Just A Scrappin

Hello! Hello! Hello!

Been a quiet week from me on here so I could get some organizing and crafting done. I have lots to share with you in the next week!

Let me start by telling you Just A Scrappin' is doing their first blog hop this weekend!! July 14th and 15th. Make sure you start there on Saturday and hop all the way through! Just A Scrappin' is giving away some blog candy and so are some of the individuals, myself included!

On to today's project!

The challenge this week is:

VACATION TIME
Using only the colors blue, white, green and brown

Lucky me, I have this paper line from who else? Quick Quotes! It's called Summertime Blues.
(can you tell I love their stuff lol) I used Blue Moon Powder Puff Ink to accent everything.

I used my Creative Memories Circle cutter for the circles along the bottom. The "Jazz" is from the cricut cartridge Quarter Note and the "& Rib Fest" is from Plantin Schoolbook. The flowers are from my stash.

I haven't scrapbooked for myself in so long so I started pulling out old pictures to do something with. These are from 2010 when my boyfriend and I took a weekend trip to visit his dad. I plan to make this a 2page layout eventually.

Hope you enjoy and join us for this great challenge!

Come back tomorrow for a 2page birthday layout and Saturday for the blog hop!!

New York Page and Winner!!!

Sometime this month I will get to some pages for myself, but for now, I am continuing to share the pages I am working on for my co-worker. Her family took a trip to New York that she wanted to include in her scrapbook. I still had a sketch saved from when DCWV used it as one of their monthly challenges that I knew I wanted to use eventually. I was looking through my paper and wanted to use paper with red in it, since I knew I had to put an apple on the page for New York and found this wonderful (but sad that it is discontinued) paper line from Quick Quotes called Ode to Joy. You might recognize it from my Father's Day Card.

I followed the sketch pretty closely since I loved it so much!
I used Blue Hawaiian and Maraschino Cherry Powder Puff inks
Close up of the title. I used the skyline from Plantin Schoolbook and added some stickles for city lights.

I knew I had to put an apple somewhere on the page, and it is such a perfect spot for journaling!
The strip of bling is from Mon Ami Gabby. It is a whole wide pice of bling that I cut apart into a couple strips. You can see one here, there is one under the title and another one further over on page 2.

My mom has this awesome Statue of Liberty Stamp that I knew I wanted to use. I stamped it with Blue Hawaiian on one of the pattern papers from this line and edged it with stickles.

And now for the winner of my blog candy giveaway. Sorry I was late on this!

comment number 4!!!

Which happens to be KathleenK aka My mom!

I think that is fitting since my mom always supports me so much in all the crafty things I do. Thank you for everything mom! I will bring you your prize soon!

3rd Birthday Card for 2012

Hi all!

I shared with all of you my new year's resolution: To send a birthday card to everyone in my family

I shared my first card here, for my Aunt Dawn. And today I am showing you the card I did for my cousin Manny.

I am going to be the Guest Designer at For Fun Challenges on Wednesday!!!! Come back on then to see the card for my cousin's husband Tim.

I used My Mind's Eye: Fly a Kite 6x6 paper pack.
I thought it would look great for a teenage boy.

I used my new stamp from Unity. I love this balloon.
I paper pieced it together. Stamp on white and cut out the image leaving a little around the edge. Stamp the image on orange and cut out just the top of the balloon. Glue on top of the white piece. Stamp the image on striped patter, circle pattern and yellow paper. cut out the 5 middle pieces of the balloon and glue them on top of the orange. I LOVE the way it turned out!

Manny's favorite color is yellow so I knew I had to get it in there somewhere. Since there was no yellow in the pattern papers, it didn't look right when I tried to make the card yellow.
So I cut a star (Plaintin Schoolbook) that I added yellow flock to and a cute yellow button. I wrapped some brown baker's twice around this square to give it a little more interest. I inked the edge's of all the pattern papers in Quick Quotes "Green with Envy".

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
Cooking With Cricut: Something New and a Cricut Cut
Little Red Wagon: Felt or Flocking
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes
Crazy 4 Challenges: Something New

Hope you like the card and remember to come back Wednesday to check out my Guest Designer card for For Fun Challenges!

Congrations to all the Grads out there!

It is the season for Dads and Grads so I thought I would share a couple projects with you.

So to start today with the Grads:
This is a Graduation Party Invitation I made 80 of (yes 80) for my boss's niece. We are a close knit group at work :) Just finished them today! She is graduation from Strongsville High School so green and white are the school colors.

"Class of" is from Wild Card
The graduation cap and tassle are from Paper Doll Dress Up
"2011" is from Plantin Schoolbook

Stop back tomorrow for my Dads project!
